I am trying to contact the family of Fritz Blaurock, because I know that they are the descendant of an Officer killed in my area during the Second World War. I wrote the email you can read here down to the Rathaus of Pfullingen where the Leutnant Hans Weckard lived during the war with all the details of my research. Then Mr. Stephan Spiller replied me and, after giving me some information, suggested me to contact you, because he know that the family of Fritz Blaurock of Untehausen are the descendant of the family Weckard and of the Leutnant Hans Weckard. You can read both email here following and then, if you can help me in my research I will be very greetful. I wait for your kind news and I thank you in advance.
I am an historich researcher and I am conducting a research on the department of Wehrmacht which operated in my area during the II World War. The department was the Waffenschule Oberbefehlshaber Suedwest, which operataed in Valle Camonica (North Italy), an alp valley. The kommando was in Boario Terme.
I have found that in Borno, a village not far from where I live, an Officer called Hans Weckard (Oberleutnant.), born in Köngen and living in Pfullingen, was killed by the partisans. Here is how it happened:
Borno is a little village on the alps, you can see it here:
http://www.bornoturismo.it/ or http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borno
Not far from here there is Boario Terme but this village is down on the valley. In Boario Terme there was the Kommando of the Waffenschule Oberbefehlshaber Suedwest. Somethimes, a group of about 30 between German officers and soldier of the Waffenschule, used to go to Borno. From there, they reached, every 15 days, a big alpine hut at 2000 mt. where they were training with weapons and taking military excercises on high mountains. Every 15 days this group changes and another group of about 30 German officers and soldier of the Waffenschule reached the hut again. During this change, a group of partisans decided to attack these men and they began to shoot them. The fact is that 8 Officiers were killed during this action. Between them there was also:
Hans Weckard, born in Köngen on 12/08/1920 and living in Pfullingen, killed in Borno on 27/09/1944. He was buried in the Costermano German Military cemetery in Italy, and then transferred in the military cemetery of Pfullingen, Kreis Reutlingen/Baden-Württemberg, row 3 left, grave number 38. His father was Friedrich (Fritz) Weckard, was living during the war in Kurze Strasse, 1, Pfullingen.
After the war, a little monument right on the place where the partisans attack took place has been erected, in memory of what happened.
I am trying to find the names of these German officers and soldier killed together with their descendants and pictures and documents about them because we want to put a stone on the place where they were killed, in their memory.
Do you think you can help me in finding information, documents, pictures about Oblt. Hans Weckard? I also hope to find some relatives or descendants who can help me. Meanwhile I found 4 other families of 4 others German officers killed in that day.
I really thank you again for your precious help and I hope that you could help me in any way.
Thank you again and sorry for my long email.
I wait for your kind news and I thank you in advance.
Best regards.

because of my english skills I would prefer to write in German to you – thanks for your understanding.
